Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Sets up and monitors quality systems including Quality Control Procedures and Plans for civil construction projects

·         Assists  the  Procurement department  as  required  by  performing  pre-tender audits  / inspections  during factory visits  at  the  potential supplier’s premises to  ensure the  provision of  services and  good  are  in compliance with the  set  requirements for the  intended project prior to selection

·         Monitors project QA/QC activities during the Construction Phase

·         Prepares and  performs internal  and  supply  chain  audits,  including  verification  of  CAPA during  follow  up audits, to ensure that the  quality  of performed work  and  implemented materials are  in compliance with the  set  requirements

·         In charge in all laboratory test procedures relevant to the materials and samples needed to construct the project and checked the results against the specifications and requirements of the project.

·         Works closely with the QAQC Manager in dealing with and closing out of all non - conformance issues

·         Collects   auditing   and   inspection data from   the   sites   and   maintain   the   relevant   register   to   ensure complete and accurate data is issued to the QAQC Manager for review and approval.

• Review and approve technical submittals for construction materials
• Review material submittals and check their compliance with project specifications, approved drawings and relevant standards.

·         Reviews Method Statements and construction procedures quality documents of suppliers and sub contractors, including approval of these documents, when required develop the same to support the site’s requirement.

·         Participate in vendor/supplier assessments as required and carry out quality system and compliance audits at vendors/suppliers premises.

·         Provide feedback to the management with reasons on construction, subcontractors and vendor’s quality control performance.

·         Prepares audit reports, including IAR, and issue to the QAQC Manager for review to ensure adherence to the ISO/OHSAS requirements and audit reporting ethics.

·         Liaises with all departments and projects to ensure adequate information and new issues are shared

·         Guides the QAQC Engineers / Inspectors on site as applicable to ensure that construction quality programs are implemented at site and quality objectives achieved

·         Represents the QAQC Manager in   his   absence to   ensure continual   representation   of   the   QAQC department.

·         Handles all quality issues with project management

·         In charge in the checking of structural plans to conform with the standards and specifications

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Worked closely with the management in implementing approved Inspection Test Plan and Quality Control Program, Method Statements and other quality documents and in the preparation, dealing and in the closing out of non - conformance reports.

·         Assured that the approved Minimum Quality Test Requirements for soil, concrete and aggregates in accordance with ACI, ASTM and ASSHTO are met.

·         Performed surprise inspections on batch plants, factories, warehouses and quarries of contractors and assured that the procedures, manpower, equipment will produce results which will satisfy the requirements of the project and made reports for the same.

·         Made samples from batch plants, factories, warehouses and quarries and performed quality tests on these to ensure that materials and products supplied are in good quality before production and use and made reports for the same.

·         Monitored project QA/QC activities during the Construction Phase and ensured that construction quality programs are implemented at site and quality objectives achieved

·         Maintained updated register of documents in relation to quality, and made reports for the same.

·         Controlled the concreting of sub – structures, superstructures for Bridges and Camel Crossings, as well as that of the Retaining Walls, Box and Pipe Culverts, Manholes, Perimeter Fence, Telecommunication Towers and made reports for the same.

·         Directly involved in the pre – stressing and grouting of girders both Bridges and Camel Crossings, made reports and supervised of the quality test of the same.

·         Controlled the laboratory tests procedures in accordance with ACI, ASTM and ASSHTO for Earthworks, Sub-ballast, Trial Mixes, Concrete Aggregates and Ballasts Materials. Checked the calculations and made reports according to the project specifications and requirements.

·         Evaluated concrete structures for defects, made reports and supervised the repairs of the same.

·         Addressed and acted as Site Inspector as well, for the daily inspection requests for the above structures and made reports.

·         Checked that the proper installation, spacing, covers and grades of reinforcing steel bars, pre-stressing ducts  and formworks are done in accordance with the approved plans and specifications.

·         Supervised field tests for earthworks, concrete and asphalt in accordance with ACI, ASTM and ASSHTO.

As Site Safety Officer:

·         Prepared and implemented safety guidelines for each project’s needs and submits the same to the President and the Department of Public Works and Highways.

Duties and responsibilities:

·         Conducted daily inspections, monitored and evaluated actual accomplishment of the sub – contractors and completed the necessary documents for payment made reports for the same.

·         In - charged in all laboratory test requirements of the project and worked closely with independent laboratory centers and made reports based on the results of the tests and specifications of the project.

·         Responsible for concrete pouring activities at site, made concrete samples, and have them tested by independent laboratory centers

·         Maintained and updated quality documents and made reports for the same to the management

·         Made necessary estimates based on the approved plans and specifications.

·         Prepared materials and tools’ requisitions for the project and check the same upon delivery. Prepared the weekly payroll of the in – house workers.
