Position: Senior Auditor III
Responsibilities:
1. Provide independent opinions on the financial performance of the clients including ICBC, SDB,DBS and etc. and the extent to which their obligations are fulfilled.
· Accurately and efficiently execute specific audit procedures as defined by the engagement objectives and according to client's industry background and the planned audit approach.
· Recognize potential audit issues or unusual phenomena from basic analysis of the financial statements and communicate with the audit team to seek for fine treatment.
· Study the accounting policy of the clients to make sure it complies with the prevailing accounting policy and statutory requirement.
2. Verify the accuracy of information contained in accounting records
· Perform walkthrough test to understand the processes associated with significant accounts to secure the veracity of the basic source of financial data.
· Conduct Journal Entries Test to confirm the accuracy of the financial data.
· Obtain the breakdown of accounts to understand the nature and accuracy of the amount.
3. Verify the existence of assets and liabilities mentioned in reports.
· Send confirmation to counter party to confirm the existence of assets and liabilities.
· Obtain the relative regal documents to verify the existence.
4. Determine the efficiency and effectiveness of the clients through testing internal control
· Perform walkthrough test and test of control to understand the significant processes to determine the effectiveness of the existing internal controls.
5. Prepare audited financial statements and reports for management, shareholders and statutory bodies
6. Examine the records of government departments, statutory and municipal authorities and government-owned companies.
7. Demonstrate professionalism and competence in the client's environment. Maintain a strong client focus attitude, be responsive to clients’ requests, and develop/maintain productive working relationships with clients’ personnel. Stay informed of current business/economic developments relevant to the clients’ business.
8. Allocate the right person for the right job. Develop people through teamwork. Collaborate with team members to take responsibilities and reach designated goals. Contribute ideas to the audit teams and listen/respond to other team members' views. Identifying and communicating auditing issues with managers and partners.
